Bael + Glipizide
Glipizide brand names: Glucotrol, Glucotrol XL.
Bael has a moderate interaction with Glipizide. Evidence from animal research suggests that extracts of bael seed and leaf can reduce blood glucose levels.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Glipizide
Glipizide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Bael interacts with.
Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the basic idea with bael and glipizide. Glipizide already pushes your blood sugar down by telling your pancreas to release more insulin. In animal studies, extracts from bael seed and leaf also seemed to lower blood sugar. So in theory, putting the two together could stack their effects and drop your sugar too low.
If that happens, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, foggy, or unusually hungry, the classic signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). I'll be honest though, this concern is mostly theoretical and comes from lab and animal research, not solid human studies, and a little bael as food is unlikely to matter. Still, if you take concentrated bael supplements, check your blood sugar more closely and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Glipizide page
“Glipizide (Glucotrol, Glucotrol XL) lowers blood sugar by prompting the pancreas to release more insulin, and that same power is why I read its supplement list with real seriousness. Of the 307 ingredients on file, 239 also act on blood glucose, so stacking them can drive sugar dangerously low.”

About Bael
What is Bael?
- Diarrhea and dysentery
- Indigestion and other digestive complaints
- Constipation
- Blood sugar support
- General wellness in traditional medicine
Bael is a fruit-bearing tree long used in traditional Indian (Ayurvedic) medicine, mostly for digestive problems like diarrhea and indigestion. Modern human evidence for its medicinal benefits is very limited, so it should be viewed mainly as a food and traditional remedy rather than a proven treatment. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using bael as a supplement, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a health condition.
About Glipizide
What Is Glipizide Used For?
Brand names: Glucotrol, Glucotrol XL
Glipizide tablets and glipizide extended-release tablets are both used as an add-on to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar (glucose) control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is not used for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis (a serious complication of uncontrolled blood sugar).

Glipizide Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Glipizide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Bael — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
