Here's the simple version: Quinapril already lowers your blood pressure, and banaba may nudge it down a little too. Put them together and those effects can stack up. The research behind this is on the lighter side (some human and animal studies), so it's more of a heads-up than a red alert.

If your pressure drops too far, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or woozy when you stand up. That's the main thing to watch for. Banaba is mostly used to help with blood sugar, so if you take it for that, just keep an eye on how you feel. Don't change your quinapril on your own. Check in with your pharmacist or doctor first, and home blood pressure readings can help you spot any dips.

What Is Quinapril Used For?

Brand names: Accupril, Accupro

Quinapril tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of stroke and heart attack. Quinapril may be used alone or combined with a thiazide diuretic (water pill) when one medication isn't enough.

Quinapril tablets are also used in the management of heart failure as an add-on therapy alongside other standard treatments such as diuretics and/or digitalis.
