Here's the simple version: methyldopa already works to bring your blood pressure down by relaxing your blood vessels. Banaba is studied mostly for blood sugar, but some human and animal research hints that it may nudge blood pressure down a little too. Stack the two together and those effects can add up, so your numbers could dip lower than expected.

If your pressure goes too low, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or even faint when you stand up quickly. Methyldopa can already cause drowsiness, so adding banaba might make that worse. This is mostly a theoretical, modest concern based on limited evidence, not a dangerous combo. Still, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting banaba, and let them know if you feel off.
