Here's the simple version: enalapril already works to bring your blood pressure down, and banaba may gently nudge it down too. Stack them together and those effects can add up. That's not about how enalapril is broken down, it's just two things pushing in the same direction at once.

If your pressure dips too low, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or a bit woozy when you stand up quickly. The research behind this is fairly limited and short-term, so for many people it's a mild concern rather than a big one. Still, if you take banaba for blood sugar, please give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up so they can keep an eye on your numbers. Don't stop or change your enalapril on your own.

About Enalapril

What Is Enalapril Used For?

Brand names: Vasotec, Epaned

Enalapril is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children older than one month, and to treat symptomatic heart failure. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of stroke and heart attack.

It is also used for asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction — when the heart's pumping ability is reduced but the person doesn't yet have obvious heart failure symptoms — to slow the progression to overt heart failure and reduce hospitalizations. Enalapril maleate oral solution (including Epaned) and enalapril maleate tablets (including Vasotec) share these three approved uses.
