Here's the simple version: felodipine already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. In animal studies, concentrated basil extract did the same thing on its own. So in theory, stacking the two could push your pressure down a little too far. If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or flushed, especially when standing up quickly.

I want to keep this in perspective though. This is based only on lab and animal research, not solid human studies, and the basil you sprinkle on pasta or pizza is very unlikely to matter. The bigger question mark is with concentrated basil supplements or essential oils. If you're considering those, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first so they can keep an eye on your readings.
