Ryzodeg combines two insulins (fast-acting aspart and long-acting degludec), and both work to bring your blood sugar down. Berberine has its own mild sugar-lowering effect, so stacking the two could push your levels lower than you intend. This is a theoretical concern based on how berberine behaves, not proven from strong studies, but it makes sense to be aware of it.

If your numbers drop too low, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, confused, or very hungry. The good news is this is easy to watch for: check your blood sugar a bit more often if you add berberine, and keep fast sugar handy. Please don't change your insulin dose on your own. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor first so any adjustments are done safely.
