Aspirin, Caffeine, Phenacetin, Propoxyphene brand name: Margesic Comp. 65.
Biofeedback has a moderate interaction with Aspirin, Caffeine, Phenacetin, Propoxyphene. There is some concern that electroencephalogram (EEG) biofeedback might lower the seizure threshold in some patients.

SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS
Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine, Phenacetin, Propoxyphene
Aspirin, Caffeine, Phenacetin, Propoxyphene falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Biofeedback interacts with.
Some drugs that lower the seizure threshold include anesthetics (propofol, others), antiarrhythmics (mexiletine), antibiotics (amphotericin, penicillin, cephalosporins, imipenem), antidepressants (bupropion, others), antihistamines (cyproheptadine, others), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), narcotics (fentanyl, others), stimulants (methylphenidate), theophylline, and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Let me set your mind at ease a bit here. This combination product contains aspirin, caffeine, phenacetin, and propoxyphene. The piece that matters for biofeedback is the propoxyphene, an older opioid pain reliever, along with the caffeine, since both can nudge the seizure threshold a little lower in sensitive people. The concern is only with EEG (brainwave) biofeedback, which in theory could lower that threshold too. Stacking the two might slightly raise seizure risk.
Honestly, this is a theoretical, low-grade worry, not something most folks ever notice. Other kinds of biofeedback (heart rate, muscle, breathing) are not implicated. If you have a seizure history or are doing EEG biofeedback, just mention this product to your doctor or pharmacist first.

About Biofeedback
What is Biofeedback?
- Chronic pain
- Headaches and migraines
- Anxiety and stress
- High blood pressure
- Urinary incontinence
- Tension and muscle relaxation
Biofeedback is a mind-body technique, not an herb or supplement. It uses sensors to show you real-time information about body functions like heart rate, muscle tension, or skin temperature so you can learn to control them. It is generally very safe and has reasonable evidence for headaches, certain pain conditions, and pelvic floor problems, but it works best alongside standard medical care.
