Morphine Sulfate falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Biofeedback interacts with.

There is some concern that electroencephalogram (EEG) biofeedback might lower the seizure threshold in some patients. Theoretically, combining EEG biofeedback with seizure threshold-lowering drugs might increase the risk of seizure.
Some drugs that lower the seizure threshold include anesthetics (propofol, others), antiarrhythmics (mexiletine), antibiotics (amphotericin, penicillin, cephalosporins, imipenem), antidepressants (bupropion, others), antihistamines (cyproheptadine, others), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), narcotics (fentanyl, others), stimulants (methylphenidate), theophylline, and others.

Here's the simple version: certain EEG (brainwave) biofeedback sessions might, in theory, make the brain a little more prone to seizures in people who are already vulnerable. Morphine can also lower the seizure threshold, especially at higher doses or when it builds up. So the worry is that doing the two together could slightly add to that seizure risk.

I want to keep this in perspective. This is mostly a theoretical concern, and for most folks taking morphine for pain it is very unlikely to cause a problem. Relaxation-style biofeedback isn't the issue here. If you have a history of seizures or take other meds that affect them, just mention the biofeedback to your doctor or pharmacist so they can weigh in for your situation.

Morphine is used to manage acute (short-term) and chronic (long-term) pain that is severe enough to need an opioid and that hasn't been adequately treated by other options. The higher-concentration liquid form is reserved for adults who are already opioid-tolerant — meaning their body is used to opioid medications.

Because of real risks of addiction, misuse, and overdose, morphine is only prescribed when other pain treatments have not worked or are not expected to work. It is not intended for long-term use unless the pain continues to be severe and no alternatives are suitable.
