Buprenorphine falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Biofeedback interacts with.

There is some concern that electroencephalogram (EEG) biofeedback might lower the seizure threshold in some patients. Theoretically, combining EEG biofeedback with seizure threshold-lowering drugs might increase the risk of seizure.
Some drugs that lower the seizure threshold include anesthetics (propofol, others), antiarrhythmics (mexiletine), antibiotics (amphotericin, penicillin, cephalosporins, imipenem), antidepressants (bupropion, others), antihistamines (cyproheptadine, others), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), narcotics (fentanyl, others), stimulants (methylphenidate), theophylline, and others.

Let me put your mind at ease here. The concern on file is a pretty theoretical one: a specific type of biofeedback called EEG (brainwave) biofeedback might, in some people, make the brain a little more prone to seizures. Buprenorphine (Subutex, Sublocade, Brixadi, Butrans) lands on a long list of medicines that can also slightly lower the seizure threshold, so stacking the two could, in theory, add up.

In real life, seizures from buprenorphine are uncommon, and this warning rests on weak, mostly theoretical evidence. Most other forms of biofeedback (muscle tension, heart rate, pelvic floor) are not part of this concern at all. If you have a seizure history or are doing EEG-based biofeedback specifically, just mention it to your provider or pharmacist so they can keep an eye on things. Don't change your buprenorphine on your own.
