Black Hoof Mushroom + Dalteparin
Dalteparin brand name: Fragmin.
We found no known interaction between Black Hoof Mushroom and Dalteparin in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Black Hoof Mushroom and Dalteparin
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Dalteparin and Black Hoof Mushroom in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Dalteparin
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Dalteparin is filed under 2 classifications — anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs, oral drugs. Black Hoof Mushroom has documented interactions with 3 drug classes — the most serious being cytochrome p450 1a2 (cyp1a2) substrates (moderate), cytochrome p450 2e1 (cyp2e1) substrates (moderate) and immunosuppressants (moderate) — and none of Dalteparin’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dalteparin page
“Dalteparin (Fragmin) is an injectable blood thinner used to prevent and treat dangerous clots, which is exactly why this list warrants real vigilance, and nearly all 218 ingredients on it thin the blood too. They are herbs and extracts with clot-inhibiting or antiplatelet effects of their own, so stacking them on dalteparin can push bl…”

Where Black Hoof Mushroom and Dalteparin Sit Against Everything Else
Out of every supplement and medication people look up on HelloPharmacist, here is where these two land this week — and which way each has been moving.
#1,012 of 1,452 supplements looked up here in the last 7 days
#1,794 of 2,830 medications looked up here in the last 7 days
Position among everything looked up on this site, not a measure of how commonly either one is used or how important it is. A supplement can climb this list because of a news story. It counts every request to the page, automated ones included, and nothing here identifies anyone.
Where does our data come from?
- Source: the Natural Medicines (TRC Healthcare) clinical database — the evidence-graded professional reference for herb & supplement interactions.
- Citation library: 103,510 references behind our interaction content, 65,311 of them resolved to verified PubMed/DOI sources. See every Black Hoof Mushroom reference on this page ↓
- Freshness: we automatically re-check this combination every week — this pair was last verified October 4, 2026. The Black Hoof Mushroom and Dalteparin records this page draws on were last updated June 22, 2026.
- What “no known interaction” means: no documented interaction in the sources above — not a guarantee of safety. Supplements are studied far less than prescription drugs, so we say exactly what the evidence supports, and nothing more.
About Black Hoof Mushroom
What is Black Hoof Mushroom?
- Immune system support
- Antioxidant support
- General wellness
- Traditional cancer-supportive use
- Inflammation
Black Hoof Mushroom (Phellinus linteus) is a medicinal mushroom long used in East Asian traditional medicine, mainly for immune support. Most of the supporting evidence comes from laboratory and animal studies, and high-quality human research is limited. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you have a health condition or take other medicines.
Phellinus linteus · Hymenochaetaceae · Fruiting body (the woody mushroom that grows on tree trunks) · Capsules, tablets, powdered extracts, teas, and tinctures
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Black Hoof Mushroom is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Black Hoof Mushroom record says about it on its own.
Black Hoof Mushroom: dosing
There is no well-established standard dose for Black Hoof Mushroom. The amount can vary widely depending on the product, the type of extract, and how it is made. The best approach is to follow the directions on the product label and not take more than recommended. Because formulations differ so much, it is a good idea to review the specific product with your pharmacist or doctor before starting.

About Dalteparin Injection
What Is Dalteparin Injection Used For?
Brand name: Fragmin
Fragmin is used to prevent clot-related problems in several situations. These include unstable angina and non-Q-wave heart attack (taken with aspirin), and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after hip or abdominal surgery or during an acute illness that severely limits movement.
It is also used to treat symptomatic venous thromboembolism (VTE, a clot in a vein) and lower the chance it comes back. This applies to adults with cancer and to children from birth (gestational age at least 35 weeks). Fragmin is not indicated for the acute treatment of VTE.

Dalteparin Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Dalteparin as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Black Hoof Mushroom — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
