Black Hoof Mushroom + Riluzole
Riluzole brand names: Rilutek, Tiglutik, Exservan.
Black Hoof Mushroom has a moderate interaction with Riluzole. Theoretically, black hoof mushroom might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Riluzole
Riluzole falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Black Hoof Mushroom interacts with.
In vitro, polysaccharides from black hoof mushroom grown in culture inhibit CYP1A2. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the situation with these two together. Your body relies on an enzyme called CYP1A2 to break down and clear riluzole. In lab dish studies, compounds in Black Hoof Mushroom appeared to slow that enzyme down. If that happened in people, riluzole could clear more slowly and build up a bit, which might mean stronger effects and more side effects like dizziness, tiredness, nausea, or numbness or tingling. Liver enzyme changes are also something doctors watch for with riluzole.
I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is only a theoretical concern from test-tube work, and it has not been shown in actual humans. Still, since riluzole is an important ALS medicine, please run this past your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Riluzole page
“Riluzole (Rilutek, Tiglutik, Exservan) slows the progression of ALS, and it already works the liver hard, which is where this list turns genuinely serious. The four major-rated entries among 141 documented interactions cluster around two hazards: extra liver strain (Siberian cocklebur has caused liver failure, and heavy alcohol from be…”

About Riluzole
What Is Riluzole Used For?
Brand names: Rilutek, Tiglutik, Exservan
Riluzole is approved to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) — the progressive neurological disease also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. This indication is shared across all available riluzole products, including tablets (Rilutek, riluzole), the dissolving oral film (Exservan), and the oral suspension (Tiglutik).
Tiglutik oral suspension is notable in that it can also be given through a PEG-tube (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube) for patients who have difficulty swallowing.
