About Pertuzumab Injection

What Is Pertuzumab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Perjeta

Perjeta (pertuzumab) is used to treat adults with HER2-positive breast cancer in several situations. It is given with trastuzumab and docetaxel for metastatic breast cancer (cancer that has spread to other parts of the body) when the patient has not yet received anti-HER2 therapy or chemotherapy for metastatic disease.

Perjeta is also used with trastuzumab and chemotherapy as neoadjuvant treatment (given before surgery) for HER2-positive locally advanced, inflammatory, or early-stage breast cancer (tumors larger than 2 cm or involving lymph nodes), and as adjuvant treatment (given after surgery) for HER2-positive early breast cancer at high risk of coming back.
