Bog Labrador Tea + Galantamine
Galantamine brand names: Reminyl, Razadyne.
Bog Labrador Tea has a moderate interaction with Galantamine. In vitro research shows that aqueous and ethanolic extracts of Bog Labrador tea leaves can increase the concentration of cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) enzymes.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Galantamine
Galantamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Bog Labrador Tea interacts with.
Drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 include lovastatin (Mevacor), clarithromycin (Biaxin), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), diltiazem (Cardizem), estrogens, indinavir (Crixivan), amiodarone (Cordarone), ticagrelor (Brilinta), triazolam (Halcion), and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down galantamine. Lab studies (in test tubes, not people) suggest Bog Labrador tea may rev up that enzyme. If it does, your body could clear galantamine a little faster, leaving less of it active. For an Alzheimer's medicine, that could mean it works less well at supporting memory and thinking.
The good news: this is weak, early evidence, and the effect on people isn't proven. Casual, occasional tea is unlikely to cause a big problem. Still, since galantamine matters for daily function, I'd mention the tea to your pharmacist or doctor before making it a regular habit, and don't change your dose on your own.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Galantamine page
“Galantamine (Razadyne) treats Alzheimer's disease, so it is often a caregiver filling the pill organizer alongside memory supplements and morning juice. That pairing deserves genuine care, because three of the 170 supplement ingredients on file are rated major and two of them are everyday items.”

About Bog Labrador Tea
What is Bog Labrador Tea?
- Coughs and respiratory complaints
- Digestive upset and diarrhea
- Anxiety and stress
- As a warm beverage
- Aches and pains (traditional use)
Bog Labrador tea is a wetland shrub whose leaves have long been brewed as a traditional beverage and folk remedy, especially among Indigenous peoples of North America. There is very little human research to confirm any health benefit, and the plant is closely related to species that contain toxic compounds, so it should be used cautiously and in moderation. Pregnant or breastfeeding people should avoid it, and anyone considering it should talk with a pharmacist or doctor first.
About Galantamine
What Is Galantamine Used For?
Brand names: Reminyl, Razadyne
Galantamine — available as extended-release capsules, tablets, and an oral solution — is used to treat mild to moderate dementia caused by Alzheimer's disease. All supported formulations share this indication.
It does not cure or slow the underlying disease, but it can help support cognitive function in people with early to moderate-stage Alzheimer's. Its benefits may lessen as the disease progresses and more brain cells are lost.
