Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Galantamine
Galantamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group 1,3-dmaa interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for galantamine: your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help clear it out. In lab testing, 1,3-DMAA appears to block that same enzyme. If it does the same thing in people, galantamine could clear more slowly and build up to higher levels than expected. With galantamine, that usually means more of its typical side effects, like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, a slow heartbeat, or feeling faint.
I want to be honest about the strength here: this is based on test-tube data, not real patient studies, so it's theoretical. But separate from that, DMAA is a risky stimulant the FDA has banned, and it can raise heart rate and blood pressure on its own. I'd avoid it and check with your pharmacist or doctor.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Galantamine page
“Galantamine (Razadyne) treats Alzheimer's disease, so it is often a caregiver filling the pill organizer alongside memory supplements and morning juice. That pairing deserves genuine care, because three of the 170 supplement ingredients on file are rated major and two of them are everyday items.”
