Oxycodone Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group 1,3-dmaa interacts with.

1,3-DMAA strongly inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) enzymes in vitro. Theoretically, 1,3-DMAA can increase levels of CYP2D6 substrates. Some of drugs that are CYP2D6 substrates include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and others.

Here's the situation with oxycodone and DMAA. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to convert part of your oxycodone into oxymorphone, a more potent form. DMAA appears to block that enzyme, at least in lab studies. So in theory you might actually feel a bit less of one pathway's pain relief, while the parent oxycodone hangs around. The bigger picture matters more here, though.

DMAA is a powerful, banned stimulant that raises blood pressure and heart rate, while oxycodone slows breathing and can cause drowsiness. Mixing a strong stimulant with a strong opioid puts real stress on your heart and breathing. The enzyme data is only test-tube level, but the stimulant risk is serious. Please don't pair these, and talk with your pharmacist or doctor first.
