Here's the gist: oxycodone is a strong opioid pain reliever that already slows down your central nervous system. California poppy is thought to have its own mild calming effect, working on some of the brain's relaxation pathways. Stack the two together and those sedating effects could pile up. With oxycodone, that might show up as extra drowsiness, foggy thinking, dizziness, or in a worst case, slower, shallower breathing.

I want to be honest about the evidence here. This concern comes only from lab and animal studies, not real patient cases, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven danger. Still, with a medicine as powerful as oxycodone, I'd play it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.
