1,3-dmaa + Clozapine
Clozapine brand names: Clozaril, Versacloz.
1,3-dmaa has a moderate interaction with Clozapine. 1,3-DMAA strongly inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) enzymes in vitro.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Clozapine
Clozapine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group 1,3-dmaa interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the basic concern with mixing DMAA and clozapine. In lab studies, DMAA appears to block an enzyme called CYP2D6, which is one of the pathways your liver uses to clear clozapine. If that pathway slows down, clozapine can build up higher than expected in your body. With more drug hanging around, you may feel side effects more strongly, things like heavy sedation, dizziness, drooling, a racing heart, low blood pressure, or constipation.
Two things to keep in mind. First, this is based only on test-tube data, so the real-world effect in people isn't proven. Second, and more important, DMAA itself is banned and considered unsafe, and its heart and blood pressure effects are a bad match for clozapine. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before combining anything with clozapine.

About 1,3-dmaa
What is 1,3-dmaa?
- Energy and stimulation
- Pre-workout performance
- Weight loss
- Appetite suppression
- Focus and concentration
DMAA (1,3-dimethylamylamine) is a synthetic stimulant that was sold in pre-workout and weight-loss supplements but has been linked to serious harm, including high blood pressure, heart problems, strokes, and deaths. The U.S. FDA and regulators in many countries have declared it illegal and unsafe in dietary supplements, so it should be avoided.
About Clozapine
What Is Clozapine Used For?
Brand names: Clozaril, Versacloz
Clozapine is used for treatment-resistant schizophrenia. That means severely ill people with schizophrenia who have not responded well enough to standard antipsychotic treatment. Because of its risks, it is meant only for those people.
It is also used to reduce the risk of repeated suicidal behavior in people with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder who are judged to be at ongoing risk. This is supported for Clozaril tablets, Versacloz oral suspension, Clozapine orally disintegrating tablets and Clozapine tablets.
