Prednisone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Bog Labrador Tea interacts with.

In vitro research shows that aqueous and ethanolic extracts of Bog Labrador tea leaves can increase the concentration of cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) enzymes. Extracts obtained from different geographical regions in Quebec resulted in differing potency of CYP3A4 induction. Bog Labrador tea might increase the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.
Drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 include lovastatin (Mevacor), clarithromycin (Biaxin), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), diltiazem (Cardizem), estrogens, indinavir (Crixivan), amiodarone (Cordarone), ticagrelor (Brilinta), triazolam (Halcion), and others.

Here's the gist for prednisone: your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help process it. Lab studies (test tube only, not people) suggest Bog Labrador tea may speed that enzyme up. If that holds true in the body, your system could clear prednisone a little faster, which might make it work less well for whatever you're treating, whether that's inflammation, a flare of arthritis, an allergic reaction, or an autoimmune condition.

I want to be honest about the strength of this. The evidence is weak and comes only from laboratory work, so we don't know how much, if any, it matters in real life. An occasional cup is unlikely to be a big deal. Still, since prednisone is doing important work, check with your pharmacist or doctor before using this tea regularly.
