Olutasidenib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Boswellia Serrata interacts with.

Theoretically, Boswellia serrata might increase or decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Boswellia serrata gum resin inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes. Other in vitro research shows that Boswellia serrata extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes at most concentrations, although it may modestly induce enzyme activity at low concentrations.

Olutasidenib (Rezlidihia) is a targeted cancer pill that your liver clears using an enzyme called CYP3A4. Boswellia may nudge this same enzyme. The catch is that lab studies pull in both directions: at most concentrations boswellic acids seem to block CYP3A4 (which could let olutasidenib build up and raise the risk of side effects like nausea, fatigue, low appetite, liver enzyme changes, or rarely a serious reaction called differentiation syndrome), but at low doses they may slightly speed it up instead.

This is purely theoretical, based on test-tube work, not real patients, so I don't want to alarm you. Still, with a cancer drug I'd play it safe. Please run the boswellia past your oncologist or pharmacist before combining them.

Rezlidhia (olutasidenib) is used to treat adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) — a fast-moving blood cancer — when the disease has come back or stopped responding to previous treatment. It is only for patients whose leukemia cells carry a susceptible IDH1 mutation, which must be confirmed by an FDA-approved test before starting treatment.
