Here's the gist for you. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to clear nortriptyline out of your system. Lab studies hint that boswellia may slow that enzyme down a bit. If that happened in real life, nortriptyline could build up and hang around longer, which can mean more of its usual side effects, things like dry mouth, constipation, drowsiness, blurry vision, dizziness when you stand, or a faster heartbeat.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. So far this is only seen in test-tube research, not in actual people, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Nortriptyline does need careful dosing, so it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding boswellia.

Here's the gist for nortriptyline and boswellia. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP1A2 to help clear nortriptyline out of your system. In lab dish studies, boswellic acids appear to slow that enzyme down.
