Ribociclib Succinate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Boswellia Serrata interacts with.

Theoretically, Boswellia serrata might increase or decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Boswellia serrata gum resin inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes. Other in vitro research shows that Boswellia serrata extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes at most concentrations, although it may modestly induce enzyme activity at low concentrations.

Here's the gist: your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to break down ribociclib (Kisqali). Lab studies hint that boswellia may slow that same enzyme down. If that happened in real life, ribociclib could build up a bit more than expected, which might mean stronger side effects like nausea, fatigue, low white blood cell counts, or changes in your heart rhythm (Kisqali already carries a warning about QT prolongation). A smaller amount of research suggests boswellia could also speed the enzyme up slightly, which would do the opposite.

I want to be honest with you: this is only a theoretical concern from test-tube work, not real patient cases. Still, ribociclib is a serious cancer medicine, so please run boswellia past your oncologist or pharmacist before adding it.

What Is Ribociclib Used For?

Brand name: Kisqali

Kisqali is used to treat adults with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. For early breast cancer (stage II or III, at high risk of recurrence), Kisqali is used together with an aromatase inhibitor as adjuvant treatment — meaning it's given after initial treatment to help reduce the chance the cancer comes back.

For advanced or metastatic breast cancer (cancer that has spread), Kisqali is used in combination with either an aromatase inhibitor or fulvestrant — either as the first hormone-based treatment or after the cancer has progressed on another hormone therapy.
