Rituximab falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Boswellia Serrata interacts with.

Theoretically, Boswellia serrata might alter the effects of immunosuppressive drugs.
Some in vitro research suggests that Boswellia serrata extracts might inhibit mediators of autoimmune disorders such as leukotrienes and reduce production of antibodies and cell-mediated immunity. However, other in vitro research suggests that, when coupled with calcium ions, boswellic acids containing the keto group have immunostimulant properties within specific cell signaling pathways.

Here's the honest picture with Boswellia and Rituximab (Rixuan). Rituximab is an antibody medicine that works on your immune system, either calming an overactive immune response (like in rheumatoid arthritis) or targeting certain cancer cells. Boswellia also seems to nudge the immune system, but in lab dishes it has pulled in both directions: sometimes quieting immune signals, sometimes stimulating them.

Because of that, the worry is that Boswellia could theoretically push your immune activity up or down in ways that don't line up with what Rituximab is trying to do. I want to be clear, though: this is based only on test-tube and animal research, not real patients, so it's a soft concern, not a red flag. Still, since Rituximab is a serious immune medicine, please run Boswellia past your oncologist, rheumatologist, or pharmacist before starting it.

Boswellia serrata is a tree resin used in traditional medicine, mainly for joint pain and inflammation. Some studies suggest it may help with osteoarthritis symptoms, but the overall evidence is limited and more research is needed. What Is Rituximab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Rituxan

Rituximab is used to treat a range of blood cancers and immune-driven diseases. In cancer care, it targets certain types of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL) and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) — both in adults and, for some lymphomas, in children as young as 6 months old.

Beyond cancer, rituximab is also approved for moderately-to-severely active Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) in adults who haven't responded well to other treatments, as well as for two rare inflammatory blood vessel diseases — Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA) and Microscopic Polyangiitis (MPA) — and for a serious skin blistering condition called Pemphigus Vulgaris (PV).
