Diupres combines two blood pressure medicines: chlorothiazide (a water pill) and reserpine (which lowers blood pressure partly by reducing the body's adrenaline-type signals). Butcher's broom works in a way that's a bit opposite here. In lab and animal studies, it acts like a mild adrenaline booster, tightening blood vessels. In theory, that could push back against your medicine and make it work less well, so your blood pressure might not stay as controlled as you'd like.

To be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on how the plant behaves in studies, not real patient reports, so it may not amount to much. Still, since blood pressure is worth keeping steady, mention butcher's broom to your pharmacist or doctor before starting it, and keep an eye on your readings.
