Here's the simple version: hydrocodone is a strong opioid pain medicine that already slows down your brain and nervous system. Catnip, often sipped as a calming tea for sleep, appears to have its own mild sedative effect. Put the two together and those calming effects can stack up, so you might feel more drowsy, foggy, dizzy, or lightheaded than usual. In theory, heavy combined sedation could even slow your breathing, which is the effect to watch for with any opioid.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's based on anecdotal reports and some animal data, not solid human studies, so the risk is uncertain. A small cup of tea probably matters far less than concentrated supplement doses. Still, before mixing them, please check with your pharmacist or doctor.
