Here's the simple version: Aristada (aripiprazole lauroxil) is a long-acting injection that can already make some people feel drowsy or mentally foggy, especially when treatment first starts. Catnip is an herb people use as a calming, sleepy-time tea, and lab and animal studies suggest it has its own mild sedating effect. Put the two together and those effects may stack up, so you could feel sleepier, slower to react, or more relaxed than usual.

I want to be honest about the strength here: this is mostly theoretical and based on weak, anecdotal evidence, not solid human studies. A cup of catnip tea now and then likely won't cause trouble for most folks, but stronger supplement doses are harder to judge. Since this injection stays in your body for weeks, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding catnip, and avoid it during pregnancy.

Aripiprazole injection is used to treat schizophrenia and to provide maintenance treatment for bipolar I disorder in adults. Different injectable products carry these approvals.

Abilify Asimtufii is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and as maintenance monotherapy for bipolar I disorder in adults. Aristada is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults, with Aristada Initio used specifically to help start Aristada therapy.
