Here's the simple version: catnip seems to have a mild calming, sleepy effect, and your valbenazine (Ingrezza) can already cause drowsiness on its own. Put them together and the worry is just that those two relaxing effects could stack up. You might feel more tired, foggy, or slowed down than usual, which matters if you're driving or doing anything that needs full focus.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It's mostly theoretical, leaning on animal data and a few reports, not strong human studies. For most people, an occasional cup of catnip tea is unlikely to cause trouble, but stronger supplement doses are a bigger question mark. Before you pair them regularly, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor.

What Is Valbenazine Used For?

Brand name: Ingrezza

Valbenazine — sold as Ingrezza and INGREZZA Sprinkle — is approved for two conditions in adults. The first is tardive dyskinesia, a movement disorder that causes uncontrolled, repetitive facial or body movements, often brought on by long-term use of certain psychiatric medications. The second is chorea associated with Huntington's disease, which refers to the involuntary, dance-like jerking movements that are a hallmark of that condition.

Both Ingrezza and INGREZZA Sprinkle are approved for both of these uses.
