Here's the simple version: amlodipine already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. Concentrated celery seed extract seems to nudge blood pressure down too, so taking the two together could stack their effects and push your numbers lower than expected.

What might you actually feel? Things like dizziness, lightheadedness (especially when standing up quickly), tiredness, or a headache. In one lower-quality study, celery seed extract dropped daytime top-number pressure by around 12 points, so this isn't just theory, but the evidence is still on the weaker side. Eating celery as a normal food is very unlikely to cause this; it's the concentrated supplement doses that matter. Please don't change your amlodipine. Just check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding the supplement, and keep an eye on your home readings.

What Is Amlodipine Used For?

Brand name: Norliqva

Amlodipine treats high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children aged 6–17 years. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Sdamlo (oral solution) is specifically indicated for hypertension in adults and pediatric patients 6 years of age and older.

Amlodipine also treats coronary artery disease in adults, including chronic stable angina (chest pain with exertion), vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal's or variant angina, caused by coronary artery spasms), and documented coronary artery disease in patients without heart failure or significantly reduced heart pumping function.
