ORAL DRUGS
Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine, Orphenadrine
Aspirin, Caffeine, Orphenadrine falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group Coffee Charcoal interacts with.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: coffee charcoal works a bit like other charcoals, with a porous surface that can grab onto things in your gut. If you swallow it around the same time as your Aspirin, Caffeine, Orphenadrine combo (sold as Norgesic, Orphengesic and similar), some of the medicine may stick to the charcoal instead of getting absorbed. That can mean weaker pain relief, less muscle-relaxing benefit, and possibly a smaller caffeine boost.
None of these three ingredients are prodrugs, so this is purely about how much actually gets into you. The good news is this concern is theoretical, based on how charcoal behaves. An easy fix is spacing them at least two hours apart. Check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.

- Wound and skin care (topical, traditional)
Coffee charcoal is made by roasting green coffee beans until they turn black, creating a charcoal-like material used traditionally for diarrhea and digestive complaints.
