Here's the simple version: coffee charcoal acts a bit like other charcoals in your gut, with a porous surface that can grab onto things passing through. If you swallow it around the same time as your Azstarys (serdexmethylphenidate and dexmethylphenidate), the charcoal could bind some of the medicine before your body absorbs it. That might mean your ADHD dose works less well that day, with weaker focus and attention benefits.

This concern is theoretical, based on how charcoal behaves rather than proven studies with this exact drug, so don't panic. A practical fix is spacing them out by at least two hours. Please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them so your treatment stays on track.
