Chlorpropamide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Colocynth interacts with.

Theoretically, colocynth might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Small clinical studies show that colocynth fruit powder reduces fasting blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes who are also taking antidiabetes drugs.

Here's the thing to know about pairing colocynth with chlorpropamide (Diabinese): both can lower your blood sugar, so taking them together may push your levels down further than you intended. Some small studies in people with type 2 diabetes found that colocynth fruit powder lowered fasting blood sugar on top of their diabetes medicine. When that stacks with chlorpropamide, you may see signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion, or a fast heartbeat.

One extra caution: chlorpropamide is long-acting, so a low can linger. The evidence here is fairly limited, but colocynth itself is also quite toxic. Please don't add it without talking to your doctor or pharmacist first.
