Aldoclor combines two blood pressure medicines: chlorothiazide, a water pill, and methyldopa, which relaxes your blood vessels. The concern here is pretty simple. Coltsfoot, especially in concentrated supplement doses, could theoretically work against your blood pressure treatment and keep your numbers from coming down the way they should.

I'll be honest with you though, this warning rests on very thin evidence (mostly theory, not real patient studies). What worries me far more about coltsfoot is the liver-toxic compounds the raw plant can contain. If your blood pressure starts creeping up, or you feel dizzy or off, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything. Don't stop your Aldoclor on your own.

Coltsfoot is a traditional herb long used to soothe coughs and clear mucus, but solid human evidence for these uses is lacking.
