Theoretically, concurrent use of cordyceps might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
Animal and in vitro research suggests that cordyceps stimulates the immune system. However, limited clinical research suggests that taking cordyceps may lower the necessary therapeutic dose of the immunosuppressant cyclosporine, which suggests that cordyceps may have an immunosuppressive effect.

Here's the honest picture with Kesimpta (ofatumumab) and cordyceps. Ofatumumab isn't a prodrug. It's an antibody that works by lowering certain immune (B) cells to calm the immune attack in MS. The concern here is about how cordyceps might affect your immune system overall, not about how your body breaks down the drug.

The tricky part is that the evidence pulls in two directions. Lab and animal studies hint cordyceps may stimulate the immune system, while a little human data suggests it may actually dampen it. Both remain mostly theoretical. In plain terms, it's unclear whether it could blunt your MS control or add to immune suppression and infection risk. Because this is uncertain, please check with your neurologist or pharmacist before adding cordyceps.

Brand name: Kesimpta

Kesimpta is used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) in adults. This includes clinically isolated syndrome (a first MS episode), relapsing-remitting MS (the most common form, with flares followed by recovery periods), and active secondary progressive MS (when the disease slowly worsens but still has active flares).

It is designed to reduce relapses and slow disease activity by targeting certain immune cells believed to drive MS damage.
