Coriander + Oxycodone
Oxycodone brand names: OxyContin, Roxicodone, OxyIR, Percolone, Oxecta, and others.
Coriander has a moderate interaction with Oxycodone. Theoretically, coriander might cause additive sedative effects when taken with CNS depressants.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Oxycodone
Oxycodone falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Coriander interacts with.
Evidence from animal research suggests that coriander fruit extract has sedative effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: oxycodone already slows down your central nervous system, which is what brings drowsiness, slowed breathing, and that foggy feeling. Some animal studies hint that coriander fruit extract may have a mild calming or sedative effect of its own. Put the two together and, in theory, you could feel more sleepy, dizzy, or out of it than oxycodone alone would cause.
I want to be straight with you, though: this concern comes from lab and animal research, not human studies, and it's rated as a possible, moderate issue. The cilantro in your tacos or salsa is almost certainly nothing to worry about. Concentrated coriander extracts or essential oils are a different story. If you're thinking about those, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

These are real questions from readers, answered by the pharmacists at HelloPharmacist — written by a person, not generated from a database. Each one covers Coriander or Oxycodone, not necessarily both, but if one is close to what you were about to ask it will usually go further than a database entry can:

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Oxycodone page
“Oxycodone is a potent opioid painkiller, and anything that deepens its sedation can slow breathing itself, which is why this list deserves genuine respect. Of the 145 supplement and herbal ingredients on record, eight rate major, and the biggest cluster by far, 78 ingredients, adds extra drowsiness on top of the opioid's own.”

About Coriander
What is Coriander?
- Digestive upset and gas
- Appetite stimulation
- Mild antimicrobial (topical)
- Diarrhea and IBS symptoms
- General flavoring and traditional remedy
Coriander (also called cilantro) is a common cooking herb and spice that has long been used in traditional medicine for digestive complaints. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated extracts or essential oils.
About Oxycodone
What Is Oxycodone Used For?
Brand names: OxyContin, Roxicodone, OxyIR, Percolone, Oxecta, OxyNeo
Oxycodone treats pain that is severe enough to need an opioid pain medicine, when other treatments are not enough. Other options include non-opioid pain relievers or opioid combination products.
Some products are for specific situations. Extended-release products (OxyContin, Xtampza ER, and oxycodone extended-release tablets) are for severe, persistent pain that needs daily, around-the-clock treatment. They are not for as-needed use. The 100 mg per 5 mL (20 mg/mL) oral solution is only for opioid-tolerant patients. Oxaydo is labeled for acute and chronic pain.
