Here's the thing about sodium nitroprusside: it's a powerful IV drug used in hospitals to bring down dangerously high blood pressure, and it's given with very close monitoring. Coriander, based mostly on animal studies, may gently lower blood pressure on its own. Put those together and the worry is that your pressure could drop a little more than expected, which might show up as dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint.

In real life, this matters far less than it sounds. Nitroprusside is only used in a controlled setting where your blood pressure is watched minute by minute and the dose is adjusted constantly. The evidence for coriander is weak and theoretical, and normal cooking amounts of cilantro are very unlikely to matter. Still, mention any concentrated coriander supplements to your care team.
