Pentoxifylline falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Diosmin interacts with.

Theoretically, diosmin may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
A case of spontaneous intraventricular hemorrhage has been reported for a 77-year-old female after 6 weeks of warfarin therapy, despite an international normalized ratio (INR) of only 1.8. The patient had also been taking aspirin and diosmin for several years. Experts speculate that chronic intake of diosmin predisposed the patient to spontaneous intraventricular hemorrhage by inducing chronic microcirculatory hypertension and inhibiting platelet aggregation. The presence of aspirin was also thought to play a role in this event.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with this pair. Pentoxifylline already works by making your blood less thick and a bit less likely to clot, so it has a mild blood-thinning side to it. Diosmin may nudge things in the same direction by affecting how platelets stick together. Stack the two and, in theory, you could tip slightly toward easier bruising or bleeding, like nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or a cut that's slow to stop.

I want to be honest about how shaky this evidence is. It comes from a single case report in someone also taking warfarin and aspirin, not solid studies, so it's more caution than proven danger. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor, especially if you bruise easily or take aspirin. Don't stop either one on your own.

Diosmin is a citrus-derived flavonoid most often used for vein-related problems such as chronic venous insufficiency and hemorrhoids, and it is usually combined with a related flavonoid called hesperidin. What Is Pentoxifylline Used For?

Pentoxifylline Extended-Release Tablets are used to treat intermittent claudication — leg pain, cramping, or fatigue that happens during walking because narrowed arteries aren't delivering enough blood to the muscles. The underlying cause is chronic occlusive arterial disease, a condition where the arteries in the limbs become blocked or narrowed over time.

Pentoxifylline can help improve walking distance and reduce symptoms, but it is not a substitute for procedures that physically open or bypass blocked arteries when those treatments are needed.
