Bisoprolol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Eleuthero interacts with.

Theoretically, eleuthero might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
In vitro and animal research suggest that standardized extracts of eleuthero might inhibit CYP2D6. However, research in healthy human volunteers has found that taking eleuthero 485 mg twice daily for 14 days does not inhibit CYP2D6 drug metabolism.

Here's the gist if you take eleuthero alongside bisoprolol (Zebeta). The theory is that eleuthero might slow down a liver enzyme called CYP2D6, which plays a part in clearing bisoprolol from your body. If that happened, more of the drug could linger, possibly nudging your heart rate or blood pressure lower than intended. That might show up as feeling tired, dizzy, or lightheaded.

Now for the reassuring part: this is mostly a theoretical concern from lab and animal studies. When healthy people actually took eleuthero for two weeks, it did not meaningfully block CYP2D6. So a real-world problem is unlikely. Still, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor, especially if you notice any new dizziness.
