Fluticasone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Eleuthero interacts with.

Theoretically, eleuthero might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro and animal research suggest that standardized extracts of eleuthero might inhibit CYP3A4. However, research in healthy human volunteers has found that taking eleuthero 485 mg twice daily for 14 days does not inhibit CYP3A4 drug metabolism.

Here's the gist for fluticasone (whether it's the nasal spray like Flonase or the inhaler like Flovent). Your body clears this steroid using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In lab dishes and animal studies, eleuthero looked like it might slow that enzyme down, which in theory could let fluticasone build up a bit and raise the odds of steroid-related effects with regular use.

But here's the reassuring part: when actual human volunteers took eleuthero for two weeks, it did not meaningfully block CYP3A4. So this concern is mostly theoretical and considered unlikely. For most folks using fluticasone as directed, this isn't a big worry. Still, if you use it daily, it never hurts to mention the eleuthero to your pharmacist or doctor.
