Eleuthero + Iloprost
Iloprost brand names: Ventavis, Aurlumyn.
Eleuthero has a moderate interaction with Iloprost. Theoretically, eleuthero may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Iloprost
Iloprost falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Eleuthero interacts with.
In vitro and animal research shows that a constituent of eleuthero, dihydroxybenzoic acid, appears to inhibit platelet aggregation. Concomitant use with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs might increase the risk of bleeding. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know if you take Ventavis (iloprost) for pulmonary hypertension. Besides relaxing blood vessels in your lungs, iloprost also has a mild blood-thinning side, meaning it can make platelets less sticky. Eleuthero may do a little of the same thing, based on lab and animal research. Stacked together, the worry is a slightly higher chance of bruising or bleeding, like nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or cuts that take longer to stop.
I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is theoretical and has not actually been reported in people. So please don't panic. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding an eleuthero supplement, especially since you're already on a medication that affects bleeding.

About Eleuthero
What is Eleuthero?
- Fatigue and low energy
- Physical and athletic performance
- Stress resistance (adaptogen)
- Immune support
- Mental focus and alertness
Eleuthero is an herb traditionally used as an 'adaptogen' to fight fatigue, boost energy, and help the body handle stress. The scientific evidence behind these uses is limited and mixed, so it should not replace proven treatments. It is generally well tolerated short-term, but pregnant and breastfeeding people and those with certain conditions should avoid it or check with a healthcare provider first.

Iloprost Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Iloprost as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Eleuthero — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
