Acetaminophen, Caffeine, Dihydrocodeine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Eucalyptus interacts with.
In vitro research suggests that eucalyptus oil might inhibit CYP1A2, although this has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the piece of this combo pill that matters most: the caffeine in it is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. Lab studies hint that eucalyptus oil might slow that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, caffeine could linger longer and feel stronger, so you might notice more jitteriness, a racing heart, or trouble sleeping. The acetaminophen and dihydrocodeine parts aren't really driven by this particular pathway.
I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It's only been seen in test-tube research, never confirmed in people, so it's very theoretical. Casual eucalyptus lozenges or vapor rubs are unlikely to cause trouble. Still, if you're using concentrated eucalyptus products, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

Here's the situation with this combination pill (acetaminophen, caffeine, and dihydrocodeine). Lab and animal studies hint that eucalyptus oil might slow down a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. That same enzyme helps process dihydrocodeine, the opioid part of this medicine. In theory, if eucalyptus blocked that enzyme, more of the drug could hang around, which could mean stronger drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing.
But I want to keep this in perspective. This has only been seen in test tubes and animals, never reported in actual people, so it's a very soft, theoretical concern. Smelling eucalyptus in a vapor rub or lozenge is highly unlikely to matter. Still, since this product contains an opioid, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated eucalyptus supplements.
