Let me start with the big picture: European mandrake is genuinely toxic and we don't recommend taking it at all. But here's the specific concern with oral cromolyn. Mandrake's tropane alkaloids slow down how fast your gut moves. When food and medicine sit in your digestive tract longer, your body can sometimes absorb more of a drug than usual.

So in theory, mandrake could increase how much cromolyn you take up. The good news is that oral cromolyn is poorly absorbed by design and is generally very well tolerated, so even a bump usually isn't dramatic. You might notice mild stomach upset or headache. This is a theoretical concern based on how these chemicals work, not something proven in studies. Either way, please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.
