First things first: I really don't want you taking European mandrake at all. It's a genuinely toxic plant, and there's no safe, proven reason to use it. With that said, here's the theory behind pairing it with oral estradiol. Mandrake's tropane alkaloids (atropine-like compounds) slow down how fast your gut moves things along. When your stomach and intestines empty more slowly, a pill like estradiol can sit there longer and get absorbed a bit more completely.

In plain terms, that could mean slightly more estradiol in your system, which might show up as breast tenderness, bloating, nausea, or spotting. Estradiol isn't a prodrug, so this points toward a stronger effect, not a weaker one. This is only a theoretical concern, not something proven, but the real takeaway is to avoid mandrake and check with your pharmacist or doctor.
