First, the big picture: I really don't want you taking European mandrake at all. It's a toxic nightshade plant that can cause serious harm, and there's no proof it helps any condition. So please leave it on the shelf.

As for the interaction itself, the concern here is fairly mild and mostly on paper. Mandrake's tropane alkaloids (like atropine and scopolamine) slow down how fast your gut moves. When your digestion slows, a swallowed pill like darolutamide can sit around longer and potentially get absorbed a bit more. In theory that could nudge up the amount in your body and the chance of side effects such as tiredness or rash. This is only a theoretical, lab-based concern, not something well documented. Still, please run any supplement past your oncology team or pharmacist first.

About Darolutamide

What Is Darolutamide Used For?

Brand name: Nubeqa

Nubeqa (darolutamide) tablets are approved for adult men with two forms of advanced prostate cancer. The first is non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC) — cancer that keeps growing despite hormone-lowering therapy and has not yet spread to other parts of the body. The second is metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC) — cancer that has spread but still responds to hormone-lowering treatment.

For mCSPC, Nubeqa can be used alone or in combination with docetaxel (a chemotherapy medicine). In all cases, patients also receive a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist or antagonist — a medicine that lowers testosterone — or have already had surgery to remove the testicles.
