European Mandrake + Tazemetostat Hydrobromide
Tazemetostat Hydrobromide brand name: Tazverik.
European Mandrake has a moderate interaction with Tazemetostat Hydrobromide. Theoretically, concurrent use might increase absorption of some drugs because of inhibited gastrointestinal (GI) motility caused by European mandrake.

ORAL DRUGS
Why this applies to Tazemetostat Hydrobromide
Tazemetostat Hydrobromide falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group European Mandrake interacts with.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the idea behind this pairing. European mandrake contains tropane alkaloids (like atropine and scopolamine) that slow down the movement of your gut. When your digestive tract moves more slowly, an oral medicine like tazemetostat (Tazverik) can sit in your system longer and potentially get absorbed a bit more than expected. In theory, that could nudge your blood levels of the cancer drug higher, which might mean more of its usual side effects, such as nausea, fatigue, hair thinning, or low blood counts.
I want to be honest that this is only a theoretical concern based on how these chemicals behave, not something proven in studies. The bigger issue is that mandrake is genuinely toxic and unsafe to take at all. Please don't use it, and talk with your oncologist or pharmacist about anything you're taking alongside Tazverik.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Tazemetostat Hydrobromide page
“Tazemetostat (Tazverik) is a targeted cancer medicine, and because a lot rides on keeping its dose steady, this interaction list deserves genuine care. Almost all 138 interacting ingredients act on the liver enzyme CYP3A4, which clears tazemetostat from the body.”

About European Mandrake
What is European Mandrake?
- Insomnia (traditional)
- Pain relief (historical)
- Anxiety or depression (folk use)
- Gout and aches (traditional)
- Sedation or anesthesia (historical)
European mandrake is a highly toxic plant from the nightshade family that was used in ancient and medieval times as a sedative and pain reliever. It contains powerful poisons that can cause serious harm or death, and there is no proof it safely treats any condition. We strongly recommend you do not consume mandrake in any form.
About Tazemetostat
What Is Tazemetostat Used For?
Brand name: Tazverik
Tazemetostat (sold as Tazverik tablets) treats two types of cancer. The first is epithelioid sarcoma, a rare soft-tissue cancer. It is used in adults and teens aged 16 and older when the cancer has spread or is locally advanced and cannot be completely removed by surgery.
The second is follicular lymphoma that has come back or stopped responding to treatment. It is used in adults whose tumors have an EZH2 mutation and who have had at least 2 prior systemic therapies. It is also used in adults with no satisfactory alternative options. These uses were approved under accelerated approval, so further studies must confirm the benefit.
