Aminoglutethimide falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INDUCERS — the group Evodia interacts with.

Theoretically, taking CYP3A4 inducers might decrease the levels and clinical effects of evodia.
Animal research shows that concomitant administration of dexamethasone, a known CYP3A4 inducer, with the alkaloid constituents of evodia significantly reduces the area under the curve (AUC), maximum concentration (Cmax), and half-life of these constituents.

Here's the thing to know about this pairing: the concern runs in one direction, and it's about the Evodia, not your medication. Aminoglutethimide is a strong reminder to your liver to ramp up an enzyme called CYP3A4, which is one of the body's main ways of clearing many substances. Evodia's active compounds (like evodiamine) appear to be broken down by that same enzyme.

So if you speed up that cleanup crew, the Evodia may get cleared out faster, meaning you'd likely get less of whatever benefit you were hoping for from it. Honestly though, this is based only on animal and test-tube work, so it's theoretical. Your aminoglutethimide effects shouldn't change. Still, please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
