Perindopril Arginine, Amlodipine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group False Unicorn interacts with.

In vitro, false unicorn extract inhibits cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) activity. Theoretically, false unicorn might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates. Drugs that might be affected include some calcium channel blockers (diltiazem, nicardipine, verapamil), chemotherapeutic agents (etoposide, paclitaxel, vinblastine, vincristine, vindesine), antifungals (ketoconazole, itraconazole), glucocorticoids, cisapride (Propulsid), alfentanil (Alfenta), fentanyl (Sublimaze), losartan (Cozaar), fluoxetine (Prozac), midazolam (Versed), omeprazole (Prilosec), ondansetron (Zofran), propranolol (Inderal), fexofenadine (Allegra), and numerous others.

Prestalia combines two blood pressure medicines. The amlodipine part is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In lab tests (test tube, not people), False Unicorn appears to slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let amlodipine build up a bit, which might nudge its effects stronger. With amlodipine that can mean things like swollen ankles, flushing, headache, dizziness, or blood pressure dropping lower than expected.

The honest part: this is only theoretical, based on lab data, so we really don't know if it matters in real life. Still, since you're treating blood pressure, it's worth a quick chat. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before adding False Unicorn, and don't change your Prestalia on your own.
