Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Omalizumab
Omalizumab falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Fermented Milk interacts with.
Clinical research suggests that fermented milk has immunostimulant effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for Xolair (omalizumab). The concern on file is theoretical: fermented milk products contain live probiotic microbes that may gently nudge the immune system to be a little more active. Since omalizumab works by calming down a part of your immune response (it binds IgE to ease allergic asthma, nasal polyps, or chronic hives), the worry is that an immune-stimulating food could, in theory, push back against that calming effect.
Be honest, this is based on pharmacology reasoning, not on real studies in people taking Xolair, and the evidence is weak. Normal food amounts of yogurt or kefir are very unlikely to cause a problem. If you take concentrated probiotic supplements or have any immune concerns, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

About Omalizumab Injection
What Is Omalizumab Injection Used For?
Brand name: Xolair
Xolair is used for several allergy-driven conditions. It treats moderate to severe persistent asthma in adults and children 6 and older whose symptoms aren't controlled by inhaled steroids alone and who test positive for a year-round airborne allergen. It is also used as an add-on maintenance treatment for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (ongoing sinus inflammation with polyp growths) in adults 18 and older who haven't responded well to nasal corticosteroids.
Xolair is also approved to reduce allergic reactions — including anaphylaxis — from accidental food exposure in adults and children aged 1 and older with IgE-mediated food allergy. It must be used alongside strict food avoidance, and it is not a substitute for emergency treatment like epinephrine. Finally, Xolair treats chronic spontaneous urticaria (persistent hives with no identified trigger) in adults and adolescents 12 and older who still have symptoms despite antihistamine treatment.
