ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Quinapril
Quinapril falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Fermented Milk interacts with.
Clinical research shows that drinking fermented milk can decrease systolic, but not diastolic, blood pressure in some patients.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with Quinapril and fermented milk like kefir or yogurt drinks. Quinapril already lowers your blood pressure, and certain fermented milks contain natural peptides that may nudge blood pressure down a little too. Studies have mainly seen a small dip in the top number (systolic), not the bottom one. So in theory, pairing the two could add up and bring your pressure lower than expected.
If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or tired, especially when standing up quickly. Honestly, this is a gentle, theoretical concern, and a normal serving of yogurt or kefir is unlikely to cause trouble for most people. Just keep an eye on how you feel, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting concentrated probiotic-rich products regularly.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Quinapril page
“Quinapril (Accupril) lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels, and that is where most of the 166 supplements and herbs on this list collide with it. The bulk either push its blood-pressure-lowering effect too far or work against it, and with six entries rated major, this page deserves a careful read, not a skim.”

About Quinapril
What Is Quinapril Used For?
Brand names: Accupril, Accupro
Quinapril tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of stroke and heart attack. Quinapril may be used alone or combined with a thiazide diuretic (water pill) when one medication isn't enough.

Quinapril Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Quinapril as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Fermented Milk — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
