Nitrazepam is a benzodiazepine sleeping pill, so it already works by calming the brain and making you drowsy. The concern here is simple overlap: gotu kola may have its own mild calming effect, and lab studies suggest it might do this by acting on the same GABA system nitrazepam uses. Stack the two and you could feel more sedated than expected.

In real life that might mean extra grogginess, deeper sleepiness, slowed reactions, dizziness, or feeling foggy the next morning. I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on lab research, not strong human studies. Still, since both can make you sleepy, it is worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you drive.
