Here's the simple version: Clobazam (Onfi, Sympazan) is a benzodiazepine that calms overactive electrical activity in the brain, which is how it helps control seizures. One known trade-off is that it can make you feel sleepy, foggy, or unsteady. Gotu kola may have its own mild calming, sedative-type effect, possibly by nudging the same GABA system clobazam works on.

So in theory, pairing them could stack that drowsiness, leaving you more tired, less alert, or wobbly on your feet. I want to be honest though: this concern comes from lab studies, not real patient cases, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Please don't change your clobazam, but do check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding gotu kola.

Clobazam is used as an add-on (adjunctive) treatment for seizures linked to Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS), a severe form of childhood-onset epilepsy. It is approved for patients 2 years of age and older.

This indication applies to all available forms: Sympazan (dissolving oral film), Onfi (tablets and oral suspension), and generic clobazam tablets and oral suspension.
