Theoretically, guggul might reduce the effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that guggul constituents known as guggulsterones can induce CYP3A4.

Here's the gist for tadalafil (Cialis): your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear it out of your system. Lab and animal studies hint that guggul may rev that enzyme up (speed it along). If that happened in real people, your body could break tadalafil down a bit faster, which might leave you with a weaker result, less help with erections or with those BPH urinary symptoms.

I want to be honest with you, though: this is only theoretical and comes from test-tube and animal work, not from solid human studies, so it may not amount to much. Before you pair the two, just check with your pharmacist or doctor and don't change anything on your own.

Guggul is a gum resin from the Commiphora wightii tree, long used in Ayurvedic medicine for cholesterol, joint, and skin problems. About Tadalafil

What Is Tadalafil Used For?

Brand names: Cialis, Tadliq

Tadalafil tablets (including Cialis and generic tadalafil) are used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH — an enlarged prostate), or both conditions together. When used with the drug finasteride to start BPH treatment, this combination is recommended for up to 26 weeks.

Adcirca, Alyq (tablets), and Tadliq (oral suspension) are indicated specifically for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH — high blood pressure in the lungs), to improve the ability to exercise.
